Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients  
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Additional parmesan for sprinkling


 
Directions
  1. Melt butter in large skillet; add cream, salt and pepper.  Bring to a boil and simmer for a few minutes uncovered to reduce and thicken sauce.
  2. Remove from heat and add cooked pasta and 1 cup parmesan.  Toss to combine and serve immediately with an extra sprinkling of parmesan over the top, if desired.

This recipe works with a 16-ounce package of pasta.
